Anyone who knows me, knows that the last few weeks have been crazy. The next two weeks should be just as crazy. The first part good, I’m going to San Fransisco Monday to attend UX week. It should be fantastic, I will get to re-connect with some old friends as well as learn a lot. I hope this will re-energize me at work. I like what I do a lot, I just think I’m on the edge of burnout. Add to that all the stress about head cute reductions and all the uncertainty that comes along with that. So I don’t think this trip could have come at a better time. Plus it’s San Fransisco where the weather will be cool and I can ware long selves and sweatshirts. I am so tired of the 90 degree weather in Charlotte.
At the moment I’m sitting in the food court at North Lake Mall. I know a coffee shop is the more traditional spot to be sitting clicking away on a lap top. But here I can do some people watching, have a small order of sweet and sour chicken and doctor pepper. Plus I need a new pair of jeans and some shoes for my trip. I also thought getting out of the house would help me put together a list of everything I need to pack. I also need to get my UX profile updated. I really need a good picture for this kind of stuff. My Twitter, and My Face Book all have really bad photos. I need something that shows my face, makes me look sorta cool. You know something natural and fun not to posed that makes one look well adjusted and fun loving. Perhaps your now seeing why I have not been able to find one.
I sat out on the back porch with the Neighbors last night drank a few beers, 4 I think, and had the best time. It was almost 7 when I got out of work and almost 10 by the time I got around and into the house. That is one of the big things I miss about summer’s since Andrew moved from next door. That sit around and shoot the shit over a few beers.
I spent some time working on my Twitter list today. I did a search for people in Charlotte and added several people out of the blue, just because they were in the same city. We will see how that works out. It’s hard to keep up with the ones I have now, I should check in more than I really do. Twitter is catching on at work, I think Wachovia is starting to get on the Twitter ban wagon.
For a quick TV update

Call Girl OK a little sad
