one big update

Apology

I know I have not updated in forever.  Aug 19 was the last real post, and the one I did for Aug 29 I removed.  I removed that one because it was just not well written.  When I write about politics I try not to do the stream of thought style that I normally do.  I feel like those have to adhere to a more formal style.  The post on the 29 was pure emotion so I decided to take it down, and I have been lazy about re-writing it.
The last three months have been extremely crazy for one reason or another.  From traveling to family stuff, to large projects at work, the weather, the election, the economy and so on.

Hell has frozen over

Following the election of 2000, I became so disillusioned with our political system I made it my personal protest to never vote again.  That changed last week, I re-registered to vote.  I don’t feel any better or more confident in our system this year, in fact I have less faith and less confidence , I did it simply because I’m scared.  North Carolina according to the Presidential Poll tracker is to close to call.  To be completely honest the sole purpose or me doing so is Palin, she scares me.

I wish I could

The down side of keeping a public blog, and having your real name attached to is that people you know and work with read it.  It keeps you from being completely honest.  You can talk about the crap at work that pisses you off or the people.  That would neither be professional now conducive to career development.  I don’t think I post as much simply because I feel the need to censor so much.  I guess online is really no t that different that real life.

From the couch or Futon rather

I have not done a television wrap-up in a while.  BSG is gone for god knows how long this time.  I love the show but I hate all the damn waiting.  The Secret Diary of a Call Girl first season has concluded and I think I really liked it.  It ended rather quietly unlike Weeds.  Speaking of Weeds, I loved the ending of season 4 however I have to agree with the Salon review, they have gotten away from the core.  I have been getting into the Sarah Connor Chronicles this season.
And speaking of Sarah, have you notice how much Sara Palin and Mary McDonnell, President Laura Roslin from BSG, look alike.  (That’s as far as I want to take that analogy!  I really like McDonnell’s character.

Phat Future

I am considering retiring this site.  I’m going to give it till the end of the year and see if I can find my energy again.
