ALBANY — Gov. David A. Paterson has directed all state agencies to begin to revise their policies and regulations to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, like Massachusetts, California and Canada.

still called a union? well a step in the right direction… still gives all the benefits and responsibility of marriage, but only for the state level of gov. not federal. i know i said something about Vermont allowing marriage… i looked into it and i was wrong… its only union as well… still better than nothing.
