thought it would be funny to text a few of my close friends and say Happy Penis Day it is 07/07/07 and anyone reading profiles or personals online knows that the word penis and the number 7 appear together quite frequently. (Sorry if your reading this Mom). It has been an hour and 18 min and not a single person has replied back. Big 0 for 7. At first I blamed the iphone, AT&T’s network has been slow with all the new power users. So, to make myself feel better I sent Shelton a text - he got in less than seven seconds. the iphone theory, shot all to shit.
Could it be that not everyone thinks penis day is as funny as I do or did ? (My confidence is slowly growing smaller)
Could everyone be just not know how to respond? (seriously what would be a good response ?)
Perhaps I should not just make up holidays while driving down I77. Perhaps ‘pulling off’ (ok bad double pun) a Hallmark-ish type of holiday, requires more than a random correlation between the date a the contents of my less than clean mind. I’m sure the ADD and skipping my Ritalin today have played a small part in all this.
While working on this post I decided to try one other person and just to see if I would get any reply. I was surprised and happy when I did. I think having a new iphone and wanting to play with the text feature might explain the quick response. But I’ll take it. A brief transcript is listed below:
Me: (07/07/07 2:28 pm) Happy Penis Day its 7/7/07 penis day.
Friend: (07/07/07 2:39 pm) You’re the first person to text me. I’m at the zoo.
Me: (07/07/07 2:44 pm) Sweet take a picture of a monkeys wang or some kind of wang. Your the only person to reply to my new holiday. Details on phat shortly. Have fun and email me photo for my post if you get chance.
So Happy Penis day !

Note: I wrote the first draft of this last night as my ambien was kicking in.
Ok this could easily be the best action movie I have ever seen. I normally love the
Times, but today I feel the need to send a big “FUCK YOU” to the New York Times for the lack luster review. Call me a sci-fi junkie with not taste in movies I don’t care. This is by far the best the best film I have ever seen in a long time.
This makes up for how bad the Fantastic Four was, it makes up for X3 which should have never been made. Spiderman 3 was fun to watch but hard to forgive the hatch job they did to the story. This even makes up for that. Take the Matrix and Independence Day and the last 3 Star Wars films, roll them up and you might have the first 10 minutes if this film. If there was a bad part it would be the overall story feels a little lost at times.

As a movie lover, I have seen close to 3,000 movies in my short time here on Earth, so I do not say this lightly… “Transformers” is by far the coolest movie I have ever seen! I’m shocked and amazed that a movie could possibly be THIS entertaining and cool. Let me put this into a bit of perspective… there are swords and then there is Excalibur, there are beautiful women and then there was Helen of Troy, there are movies and NOW there is “Transformers"… the single most entertaining and awe-inspiring masterwork of cinema in the history of the world. The CGI meshes perfectly with the real-life sets, the action is breathtaking to watch as the Transformers battle across our world, the acting is excellent and I’m a huge fan of Shia LaBeouf (mark my words – this kid will go all the way to the top!) and the script writing was cutting edge with lots of references to today’s hip & cool technologies like eBay, web surfing, etc. Plus, the level of humor in the script is off-the-charts. The entire audience was grinning from ear to ear the whole time during the press screening we went to (not just from the comedy, but also from the amazing CGI effects, the cinematography, the brilliant script, and so on) – this was more than just watching a movie, this was truly a cinematic ‘experience’ and as far as movies go, “Transformers” is the Crème de la Crème, the epitome of cinematic mastery. Kudos to director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg for creating the coolest movie ever made, EVER!

The Stonewall riots were a series of violent conflicts between New York City police officers and groups of gay and transgender people that began during the early morning of June 28, 1969, and lasted several days. Also called the Stonewall Rebellion or simply Stonewall, the clash was a watershed for the worldwide gay rights movement, as gay and transgender people had never before acted together in such large numbers to forcibly resist police.
