I know the site looks like crap, but I'm working on it -- no really I am !

sitting in the bar by myself again with my laptop

I took off work a half hour early and hopped on the light rail don’t to the bar.  Well I really didn’t leave early since I worked all last weekend and going to work all day on Saturday.  This is one of the few places I mind sitting by myself.  I just sit here answer my email and then post something to my site.  Not much to report this week has been calm.  I’m feeling really low key.  I ordered a pair of new leather Chuck Taylor All Stairs.  I really love those shoes.  I have a pair of canvas ones on right now and they are cool but I totally love the leather ones.  I guess because I have not seen anyone else with them.

The lesbians are forming a large group next to me.  They are cool.  I know I’m going to smell like smoke when I get out of here.  I am tempted to work from home tomorrow, I feel like I get so much more done when I work from home.  It’s also cool just to leave the door open let Rudy wonder in and out.  I get so much done, and I totally feel relaxed.  It’s odd, I don’t think I would like to work from home all the time but once or twice a week would be really cool.  Especially during the spring.

I so don’t have anything real to write about.  The frogs are still alive although Rupert was picking on Fuck-head last night.  They are fun to watch.

that’s a bitch move obama

I would have to agree—going on FOX really crosses that a moral line.

Liberal bloggers are expressing outrage over Barack Obama’s appearance this weekend on Fox News, accusing the Democratic presidential front-runner of kowtowing to the network’s conservative viewers, and throwing his online supporters to the wolves.

“This will likely further dismay liberal bloggers who had worked very hard to get Dems to boycott Fox as a way of delegitimizing the network and who already criticized Obama for agreeing to appear in the first place,” Sargent continued.

before having to work this sunday

So I find that I have been working most the weekend.  Not like othe members of my team but still working.  I got to the office early today and thought I would venture down to Starbucks for a few min.  I could have written this much easier at my desk but I felt like being social or something like that.  I have discovered there is no free internet down this way.  I was considering getting a hot spot account but that seems like a lot.  It’s not like activating the sprint card which is 75 bucks a month with a two year contract.  I started reading about a few of them and I got more confused between the AT&T and te T-mobile one.  So realizing I would only be here another 30 or 40 minutes it all seemed a bit pointless.

Yes I do have a pair of African dwarf frogs.  They are pretty cool and don’t require much attention.  However I didn’t get my snail when I purchased them and somehow since their last feeding I have lost their food.  So I need frog food and snail to help balance the eco system.  I do get a kick out of them I named them Rupert and Fuck-head.

This is the first time I have really used the new Micro Soft Word, normally I use google documents and or expression engine to write all my post.  The things one will do when no internet id available.  The episode of South Park about how everyone freaked the fuck out when the internet suddenly went dead was funny and hit home on a couple of the points.

I like my Twitter account a lot.  I like Facebook a lot as well but I do get a little pee shy when everyone from old X’s to workmate get alerted every time I do anything.  I guess that’s the appeal.  I may just be showing my age.  I feel guilty some times for not having a more historic facebook page.  Consider that most of the kids graduating college this year have had Facebook from day one of Freshmen year to graduation.  They have a historic living history of every friend, club, hook -up, trip and event.  That would be a fantastic treasure.  I have a box of old faded photos of people I can hardly remember names.

I think that also explains why so many old guys like me find it attractive.  We can in part go back attempt to contact and rebuild the history we lost.  The bad part is we are old, fatter, and know more discerning about what we post.  We have jobs and employers and snoopy co workers who like to gossip.  We have professional reputations to keep up.

I have often thought about writing a new blog somewhere under a different name so I could really express some of the things I hold back.  But a fake person writing about real things, hidden from the people who would best understand seem wrong.

Oh well.  I don’t even have time to do this one up right so the idea of two is just crazy.

Thanks Big E for finding me that Young Avengers #1 you rock.  I got to work today so I won’t be in.  I did come and see your boss Friday night – not two bad.  Shelton picked up a new Transformer, the Optimus Primal.

Well I should walk back across the street to work and try and figure how the hell to get this on my site.  PS there are not really any attractive people in this Star Bucks, no fun.  And I like the new brown cups .  (and I just talked to a cute little dancer on the way out.  The day may have been saved.).

Day of Silence

The Truth about the Day of Silence
Wish we could pull this off in a corporate environment.

Every year, more and more students participate in the Day of Silence, which began 12 years ago when University of Virginia students wanted to find a way to bring attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment on campus.

As the day’s popularity and exposure have increased, many misperceptions have spread about what the Day of Silence is, why the day exists and what participating in it means. Here are 4 truths that address common misinformation about the Day of Silence.

http://www.dayofsilence.org/content/truth.html

in the Day of Silence (DOS), a national youth movement bringing
attention to the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
people and their allies. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which
is caused by anti-LGBT bullying, name-calling and harassment. This
year’s DOS is held in memory of Lawrence King, a 15 year-old student
who was killed in school because of his sexual orientation and gender
expression. I believe that ending the silence is the fi rst step toward
building awareness and making a commitment to address these
injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today.
